Donna Torres taught painting as an adjunct professor at Florida International University until 2023. In 2019 she retired from Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami where she taught botanical art for 18 years. She has conducted numerous art workshops in the US and abroad. Donna’s drawings and paintings reflect her interest in shamanism and medicinal plants. Her artworks have been exhibited widely in the US and abroad. She has taught art workshops in the US, Colombia, Nepal and Chile. Donna was co-founder of the TBA artist collective, and served as co-director with Pauline Goldsmith for 5 years. She looks forward to continuing her work as an independent artist.
